LILLIE ON THE ISSUES

Putting Children First

Decisions involving our students' education must first stem from the intention to do what is best for the children. Adults who advocate for children must make decisions that seek the best outcomes, not those most accessible or most convenient. We get one chance to parent and educate our children but a lifetime to reap the results. We must work together to create the most amazing future adults possible.

Parents are the Strength of our Community

Being a parent does not stop when the child enters a school building. Parents and teachers are partners in the business of education. Our community and the school system thrive because of the level of support given by parents to our children, teachers, staff, school buildings, and school board. Listening to parents and helping them feel like partners will be my focus and the cornerstone for representing my district.

Valued Teachers Create Valuable Results in Students

It is essential teachers have the resources needed to give our students a world-class education. When elected, my primary focus on managing your tax dollars will be to focus those funds on the classroom experience and give teachers the resources they need to better our students. Maintaining competitive compensation will also be a priority to ensure we retain the best teachers.

All Stakeholders in our Community Deserve An Excellent School System

Fulton County Schools is a $1.5B system. Our district has among the highest-ranked schools in the state while having the lowest school tax rate in metro Atlanta. One of the primary roles of a School Board member is to conduct oversight over the budget. We need decision-makers that are confident in asking questions and doing the research necessary to hold the system accountable. As your representative, I will ensure our tax dollars are spent wisely.

EXPERIENCE THAT MATTERS

Lillie brings a lifetime of experience to the table. She is a former teacher, has worked in the private sector, and has been a tireless volunteer in our school system. Put Lillies experience to work for our students and parents by electing her to be your next school board representative for District 2.
